Anxiety

: Anxiety affects all of us from timear to time. However the acute form of anxiety results in panic attacks that cause shortness of breath, dizziness, hot flashes and/or chills, nausea and an impossibility to think clearly.

Apathy: Apathy is the lack of feeling, emotion, interest or concern. Apathy can apply to an opinion, situation or life in general and can become a serious mental concern when you stop caring about everything and everyone around you (sometimes including yourself).

Cautions: Apathy can become a serious condition. Consult your physician if a growing sense of apathy becomes a concern.

Depression: Depression is an illness that affects the whole body. It changes the way you eat and sleep, your self confidence, and the way you think about things and others around you. Depression can be triggered by stress, lack of exercise, chemical imbalance in the brain or a traumatic life event.

Grief: Grief describes the feelings and emotions experienced following a loss, such as the death of a loved one, end of a relationship, etc. Through grieving we attempt to come to a state of peace with our loss.

Insecurity: Insecurity describes a feeling of instability in one's life, and can be applied to many things including a relationship, work environment, or one's self.

Irritability: Irritability is a general term for an excessive response to an otherwise harmless, non reactive situation. Irritability is common, and in adults can result from things like stress, irregular meals, excess caffeine and hormonal changes within the body.

Loneliness: Loneliness is the feeling of isolation, being removed or withdrawn from people, places or things. In extreme situations loneliness can lead to depression.

Low Self Esteem: Low Self Esteem describes a lack of confidence in one's ability to perform, and their low sense of self-worth as an individual.

Mental Fatigue: Mental Fatigue is the result of overactivity in the brain. Just as the body gets tired when it is overworked, so does the mind and care must be taken so that it, along with the body, gets the rest it needs to replenish itself.

Panic Attacks: Panic Attacks are the result of anxiety disorder, in which the body prepares itself to deal with an emergency situation at the wrong time. The body begins to produce additional adrenaline, the muscles tense and heartbeat and breathing become more rapid. The panic attacks are often triggered by stress (concious or unconcious), caffeine, foods, emotions, drugs or illness.

Poor Memory: Memory is a function of the body that you don't think about until you begin to lose it.
